No affordable housing

My husband and I are one of the few people who moved to the Keys because of the job, not because of the Keys themselves. We are unable to live in our own place because there are hardly any apartments and no affordable housing. I don't mean that there is no cheap housing; there really is no affordable housing for people currently wanting to move to the Keys. It is not uncommon to see a trailer on a small lot to go for $400,000 or more.
